CREATIVELY CONTRIBUTING TOWARDS A WORTHY CAUSE
We, as artists/creatives have been approached and invited to part take in a global initiative to help raise money for the “Mattia Fagnoni Association”. Here is some back ground information.
In Italy, a couple is busy losing their son (Mattia) to a disease called “Sandhoff Syndrome”: a genetic and degenerative disease. Knowing the disease is at an incurable level, the parents of Mattia have started raising funds for finding a cure for this disease and providing support for the ones who would need it. The ultimate goal is a financial support for researches, to find a cure for Sandhoff syndrome. For them to do so, they are “fighting with colour”.
This is where you can assist:
At the end of February, they will be auctioning off work of artists from around the world. If you would like to contribute any piece of art (big or small)… it will help a great deal.
Please make sure your work is on paper, and please include R50 for shipping costs,Write on Africa will pay for any excess shipping costs. DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: 01 February 2011.

ONE STREET HERALD
One Street Herald is an exhibition of “urban translations.” Andrew Breitenberg draws symbols and texts in the margins to make his contribution to the dignity of those who live there. We really like his latest piece called “Mark 1”. The piece was done on the Westbound N2 highway at Jan Smts Ave.
